Funky Plum Vintage: Bloggers' Style Makeover Party

Earlier this year, I had the pleasure to meet Sheila Amora, the owner of Funky Plum Vintage, through fellow Trio member Keigh. We were going to style a fashion show for Assumption College's BLISS College Night and when I met her, I found out that her daughter absolutely loves The Sound of Music Manila. Ever since then, I have been practically devoted to their entire family and their store.

So, when they asked me to play a slightly bigger role in their Bloggers' Style Makeover Party - which, at the time, was still months away - I agreed whole-heartedly. Aside from the beautiful eyelash extensions that I got for the event, I was also able to get a complete makeover and grace the runway in Funky Plum Vintage clothes.

The event happened on March 24, 2012 at the 2nd Floor of Pergola Mall in BF Homes, Paranaque. And, despite the heavy rain and the occasional power outages, the team behind Funky Plum Vintage never faltered.

As one of the three "models" who were going to be made up on stage, I had the privilege to eat before everyone else... Bwahahahaha!

Delicious food! Especially loved the empanaditas from Empanada Mas (the ones filled with Nutella are a must-try!)

And the proof that I am not a real model.

I remember one of the real models saying that she was on a diet that day and when someone said, "But you're so skinny, you don't need to diet!", she wittily responded, "I'm skinny because I'm on a diet." Touche. ...I should really go on a diet.

Between bouts of freaking out because of the power outages. (Excuse my no-makeup face!)

Soon after the program started, Keigh, Kary and I were summoned on-stage to be made-up by extremely talented Motives makeup artists. My MUA was actually able to get my face done in only 5 minutes. Epic.

With my uber talented Motives MUA, whose name escapes me right now... Please remind me, if you know?

Finally got some makeup on!

After the makeup sesh on-stage, Keigh and I were finally able to join the bloggers and enjoy the rest of the event with them.

Spotted: Ava and Megann, walking the runway din? :p

The bloggers who all took home awesome prizes. Spot Ana with her then-newly-"installed" braces!

I couldn't not take a photo of adorable lil Sophia Amora, Sheila's youngest daughter. How cute is she?!??

And then the fashion show with the real models began...

Check it out! Gaby Hernandez, Bianca's friend (right), walked the runway, too!

And so did Bianca herself! And, of course, adorable little Sophia!

For more photos of the fashion show, please read my blog post on Funky Plum Vintage on When in Manila instead! :)

After the fashion show, they showed an AVP with us bloggers in it - so touching!

Look! It's me and Tita Jo!

There was also a raffle for a grand prize of Php5,000 worth of GCs that could be used at Funky Plum Vintage. Lucky Nettie won!

And here's our very talented fashion director, Izzy, who had the best eyelash extensions in the house!

And here I am with the beautiful Sheila Amora of Funky Plum Vintage! Thank you for everything so far! More power! :)

Please don't forget to add Funky Plum Vintage on Facebook and to follow them on Twitter. I'll be posting a giveaway sponsored by them soon, so get a head start and check out what they've got as soon as now! :)

Want more? Then watch this BTS video of the event and see what a hyper "model" I make :p
