Book Review: You Couldn't Ignore Me If You Tried by Susannah Gora

If you are anything like me or Olive in 'Easy A', in that you adore the 80's teen films like no other and adore Cameron Crowe and John Hughes to death, then you need to get your hands on this book.

Not only does it give its readers an honest take on the life of the so-called "Brat Pack"-ers, but it also shares a lot of behind-the-scenes stories and never-before-heard-or-seen interviews with a lot of the Brat Pack members.

This book will make you think about the movies, make you want to re-watch them as you go through each chapter, and even make you cry with the anecdotes and the memories that you might have associated to each movie.

Granted, I might be a die-hard Brat Pack fan and nobody else in the world - or, at least, in this country - will probably understand my obsession and love for these movies, but this book offers an in-depth look that might actually help you understand and learn to love the movies the way I do. Though, if you don't already love them, then you should just check yourself into a mental institution right now.

If you have no idea who the members of the Brat Pack are, then here are some pictures you might be familiar with:

Sixteen Candles

The Breakfast Club

St. Elmo's Fire

Pretty in Pink

Ferris Bueller's Day Off

Say Anything

Ring any bells yet? If I'm still not getting through to you, raid you dad's, mom's, kuya's or ate's DVD or VHS collection NOW. You're totally missing out.
